Aims of the course |
The
objective of the course is to enable students to adapt the classical methods
of teaching and learning physics to the new and changing needs that they
impose: the achievements of cognitive science, the results of the research
that have led to the enrichment of learning and learning methods, impressive
development of science and technology, based on modern technologies,
especially on new possibilities of visualization, contemporary living
conditions, social environment, possibilities of communication and
dissemination of knowledge through information technologies ... |
|
|
Learning outcomes |
The
acquired knowledge will enable the student to adapt in teaching practice the
methods of teaching physics and work with students in the profile / type of
school in which they work, the level of knowledge of students and the
conditions in which they live and learn, the needs of cooperation and
interaction with teachers of other subjects, the needs of students related to
the continuation of their education. |

Lectures |
Interactive
teaching and learning physics / Just in Time Teaching. Research approach to
learning and teaching / learning based on problems. Working in a team and a
group / peer education. Application of information technologies, multimedia,
social networks and Internet browsers. Learning through solving and
formulating theoretical and conceptual problems. Visualization methods using
computer programs, experimentation and observation in the laboratory, wider
school environment and nature. School as a 3D textbook of science.
Interdisciplinary teaching. Teaching physics at a distance (hospital, house,
absence due to sports and art activities, unfavorable meteorological
conditions). Basics of Ethical Approach to Physics Learning. Methods of
continual monitoring of students' progress in learning. |
|
|
Examples/ practical classes |
Practical
classes (exercises, DON, study) Leading research and educational projects in
cooperation with teachers and students in schools. Creating a model (real or
computer) and installations for a school lab and a wider school space. Read selected articles from
international journals from education in physics and the realization of
selected apparatus, demonstrations and experiments. Examination of students
in schools about their teaching. |
