The main issues in weather modification. 2. Historical overview. 3.
Atmospheric aerosols. Cloud condensation nucleus. Ice nucleus. 4. Artificial
nucleus-reagent. Heterogeneous reagent; Silver-iodide. 5 Cooling reagent;
Propane; Dry ice. 6. Compressed air; 7. Microphysical basis of weather
modification. 8. Weather modification concepts. 9. Fog dispersal. 10.
Modification of orographic and convective precipitation. 11. Inadvertent
modification of precipitation; Urban modification of precipitation. 12. Hail
suppression. 13. Modification of atmospheric electrical charging. 14. Weather
modification due to condensation trails.15. Impact of condensation trails on
the atmosphere heat balance. |

Examples/ practical classes |
Exercises
follow the lectures. Practical classes will be conducted at radar centers.
Here the students will be introduced to practical procedures for each type of
weather modification while working on modern equipment. |
